Watercolor Basics

First, Katrina will guide the class through learning the main 9 techniques of watercolor: Dry Brush, Wet on Wet, Wet on Dry, Flat Wash, Glazing, Pulling Color, Blooming, Graded Wash, and Lifting.

Next, she will take the class through painting an abstract piece, incorporating all the techniques learned.

Finally, for the last bit of class, everyone will have time to do paint on their own while Katrina looks on and gives advice.

Supplies Needed:

• 4 pieces of 8.5"x11" watercolor paper

• Watercolor paints, basic colors, preferably tubes

• Round brush, flat brush
