Watercolor Basics (Beginners)
First, I will guide the class through learning the main 9 techniques of watercolor: Dry Brush, Wet on Wet, Wet on Dry, Flat Wash, Glazing, Pulling Color, Blooming, Graded Wash, and Lifting.
Next, I will take the class through painting an abstract piece, incorporating all the techniques learned.
I'll then show the class how to use the techniques to create a more realistic piece.
Finally, for the last bit of class, everyone will have time to do paint on their own while I look on and continue to help with any questions.
Supplies Needed for Each Person:
- 6 pieces of 8.5"x11" watercolor paper
- Watercolor paints, basic colors, preferably tubes
- Round brush, medium to large
- Flat brush, medium to large

The workshop will last for 2 hours with a 15 minute break in between. Payment is due at time of scheduling, see below form to schedule.
Watercolor Fun (Advanced)
I will show the class more advanced watercolor techniques that I enjoy using in my work like including other mediums, using mulitple layers of paint, using a lot of water, splattering with purpose, and more!
Using the techniques learned, the class will be shown how to make a more advanced abstract watercolor piece.
Also incorporating the advanced techniques, I will show the class how to use them in a realistic work.
At the end of the class, everyone can do some free work while I look on and answer any questions.
